In 1969 in a little boutique in Vancouver, BC, where Sandi was working as a designer, a gentleman came in with his own leather and asked; “Is there anyone here who could make me a pair of leather pants?” It was the success of creating that first pair of leather pants that began Sandi’s love of working with leather. Sandi has lived in the Twin Cities since 1971. She met and married, Don, in 1978. Don then joined Sandi in the continuing success of Leather Renditions, which was formerly operated by appt. only at an Eden Prairie studio two minutes from the current boutique. Leather Renditions has a unique collection of leathers, shearlings, and furs from all over the world, with contractors that manufacture their designs in the US, Canada and Europe. Once each piece designed has Sandi and Don’s unique input, you have an original garment that is sure to be noticed. Leather Renditions by Sandi celebrated its grand opening on September 15, 2007. Response to the boutique was overwhelmingly positive! Everyone who visited the store was very complimentary of our new look and the variety of high quality items.
